The controversial Italian says he does not want to get booked every week for such stunts and insists he was not part of the incident that led to his house catching fire
Manchaster - striker Mario Balotelli claims his special celebration during the Manchester derby was a one-off and insists he is not to blame for the firework incident at his home.
The Italian scored the opener in the 6-1 thrashing of their local rivals Manchester United and lifted his shirt to reveal another with the slogan 'Why Always Me?' printed across in what was thought to be in reaction to the fire at his home less than 48 hours before.
However, the 21-year-old says he will not be celebrating like that in future as he does not want to rack up yellow cards.
"I did it for many reasons but I'll leave it for other people to figure out what it means. I'm sure people can work it out,” he told the press.
"[Les] Chappy, our kitman did it for me, I told him the words and he printed them. He is a good guy Chappy, one of the best!
"Will I do it again? No, because otherwise I'll get booked every week, so it was a one-off for United!"
Balotelli has also claimed he had no part in the blaze at his home that was caused by fireworks being let off inside his bathroom.
He said: "I don't care what people say about me. People are interested in my private life but the thing at the weekend didn't come from me.
"It came from one of my friends and one of my brother's friends. Maybe I should be more careful about who I let in my house.
"It wasn't about me, though. I didn't do anything. In a bad period people can talk about you and say what they want.
"But I'm focused on my football, my team-mates and my manager, girlfriend and my family, and what they say to me. What anyone else says is not important.
"In the aftermath of the incident at his home, the forward has fronted a campaign in Manchester to warn youngsters of the dangers of fireworks.
"It is an important message that children should not mess with fireworks,” he said.
"They can be very dangerous if they are not used in the right way.
"People should follow the firework code."
He also warned his team-mates to not get carried away with the historic victory at Old Trafford as they prepare to take on Wolves in the League Cup.
He added: "Yes, it was a great weekend but United's now in the past. Now I'm focused on Wednesday and Wolverhampton.
"I need to be focused to score more goals, keep playing well and to help our team to win.
"But Sunday was one of the best we have ever played together. At the moment, we play well every week but that was special."
